Trash Audio Studio Tour

After being sick last weekend and busy all week (and saturday with a mastering project) I finally got around to making a video tour for my upcoming Workspace and Environment interview on Trash_Audio. It was Surachai's idea to make a video and it came out better than I expected.

Rather than narrate this one, I thought I'd give you all a break from my voice and instead write a quick piece as the sound track. And, it made sense to use the stuff being shown in the video.

Enjoy.

Awesome. That sheer coolness-to-area ratio of gear in your studio gives me goosebumps.

You should describe that song (and gear was making what noise) in more detail-- it was awesome.

Haha, thanks!

I thought about describing the track, but as is with everything I write, I didn't know if the piece was actually that good or not. I'm glad you liked it!

I'll break down each track in another post tomorrow (when I can make a mix down with various tracks solo'd).

There's actually only 4 tracks: MachineDrum (drums and low "wwopp" sound), the modular (i'm gonna have to try and remember some details on that patch), theremin through metasonix TM-1 and Frequensteiner, and guitar through a Whammy -> Soda Meiser -> MF-102 ring mod. The repeating "melody" is the guitar, believe it or not. The octave sweeps are me working the Whammy pedal (octave up mode).

Impressive anyway! The track sounds so cool, on the top of the movie is even more impressive. Thinking about creating something similar for my audio studio. Feel free to check my audio studio
